OLATHE REPUBLICAN PARTY PICNIC

Following annual tradition, the Olathe Republican Party invites the public to meet their elected officials and enjoy a good old fashioned barbeque Saturday, July 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mahaffie Farmstead in Olathe. Suggested donation is only $5 per person or $10 per family.
Confirmed speakers include keynote speaker Sen. Nick Jordan, the Republican candidate for congress, Rep. Arlen Siegfried, Rep. Rob Olson, Rep. Lance Kinzer, and Sen. Karin Brownlee. All local officials from the school board through the state house are being asked to attend and will be given an opportunity to speak. Candidates, local and statewide organizations will also have information booths. The party will be conducting a Straw Poll for issues of local importance.
For the kids, nineteenth century children’s games and Stagecoach Rides will be available free of charge. The menu includes hot dogs and hamburgers, grilled to perfection by Rep. Arlen Siegfried and friends, potato chips and baked beans. Everyone is welcome to bring desserts to share.
